DESCRIPTION:Salseros 25th Anniversary Celebration: Live Salsa Music\, Performances & special workshop. \nJoin us in celebrating 25 years of Salseros Dance Company providing Latin music and dancing in Eugene! This is an event you don’t want to miss! \nThe evening starts with a special Dominican Bachata workshop taught by current and former Salseros Dance Studio instructors. After this\, we’ll have a beginner drop-in Salsa & Bachata class – no partner or previous experience necessary. \nThen enjoy live salsa music by Orquesta Descarga 54\, a 13-piece Salsa band from Eugene. \nIn between the band sets\, we’ll have a great lineup of dance performances by: Salseros Dance Company Teams (Salsa Ladies Styling\, All Levels Bachata\, Intermediate/Advanced Bachata\, and Intermediate/Advanced Salsa Teams)\, Leah & Jeff Velez\, Mayimbito\, JaVonda Dillon (Director of Diva Style Dance Company from Portland)\, Azucar Dance Company and Azuquita Ladies Team. \nTickets for the event include a raffle ticket\, with raffle prizes of gift certificates to local businesses. \nA bar will be available in the Ballroom\, provided by Mac’s. \nEVENT SCHEDULE: \n-7:00-8:30pm Dominican Bachata workshop taught by Leah & Jeff Velez and Paloma Laguna \n-9:00-10:00pm Beginner drop-in Salsa & Bachata Class by Michelle Cruz & Paloma Laguna \n-10:00pm Live Salsa Music by Orquesta Descarga 54 begins \n-10:45-11:15pm Performances & raffle \n-11:15pm Band second set \n-12:00-12:30am DJ music \nTICKETS: $15 online in advance or $20 at the door \nLOCATION: Vets Club Ballroom 2nd Floor\, 1626 Willamette St\, Eugene. \nMore details at www.salseros.com
